Forget Nintendo, The PlayStation VR2 Bundled With the Horizon VR Game Is at Its Lowest Price Ever for Black Friday

Looks like Black Friday has come early this year. Even though according to our calendars, it shouldn’t be coming until the end of the week (as all Fridays do), Amazon didn’t get the memo. The giant online retailer released a ton of its Black Friday early in the week so folks can get a head start on their gift shopping while saving some cash. One of the sales is for the PlayStation VR2 bundled with the PlayStation exclusive VR game, Horizon: Call of the Mountain. Normally priced at $600, you can get it now for just $349 which is a 42% discount that saves you $251.

One of the biggest roadblocks standing in the way of more people dipping into VR, particularly the PlayStation VR2, it’s the price point. But right now it’s at its all-time lowest price, bringing it to almost half of its retail price—making it a great gift option this holiday season.

Feel a New Real

The PSVR2 has haptic feedback and adaptive triggers much like the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller. It’s also got finger touch detection and a whole slew of interesting VR tech like eye tracking, 3D audio, and headset feedback. The headset screen supports 4K HDR visuals at 120fps thanks to its two 2000 x 2040 OLED displays with a field of view of 110°. That’s four times the resolution of the original PlayStation VR.

The 3D audio let’s you really feel as though your are the character you are controlling. You can sense when someone is whispering in your ear, locate friends and enemies by their gunfire or footsteps. The in-game audio will adapt to your position and head movements to keep you fully immersed in the soundscape of everything around you.

The PlayStation VR2 is powered by your PlayStation 5 console. Just plug in the headset to your PS5 console to get started. You can even enjoy non-VR content in Cinematic Mode.

The bundle includes a game exclusive to PSVR2, Horizon: Call of the Mountain. Using the intuitive controls of the VR2 Sense controllers, you can climb mountains one hand at time, and feel the adrenaline rush of pulling back your bow to fire.

Amazon has graciously knocked down the price of the PlayStation VR2 bundled with Horizon: Call of the Mountain from its full price of $600 to the much more reasonable $349. That saves you $251 in this 42% early Black Friday discount. Do note it does require a PlayStation 2 console in order to use.
