Simone Biles and husband Jonathan Owens are juggling pigskin responsibilities on their Turkey Day.

Biles, 27, will be traveling to Detroit on Thanksgiving to see Owens, 29, and the Chicago Bears take on the Detroit Lions. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the decorated gymnast explained how they’ll make it all work.

“I’ll fly up in the morning and fly right back, just so we can still spend Thanksgiving together,” said Biles, who spoke to Us via her partnership with DICK’s Sporting Goods. “Holidays are revolving around sports right now, especially in the football world with them sometimes playing.”

While she’s at the game, Biles will employ some help back at the couples’ home in Chicago to make sure everything is running smoothly.

Simone Biles is bearing down on her support of husband Jonathan Owens’ football team, stepping out at his Sunday, November 24 game. Ahead of Sunday’s Chicago Bears home game against the Minnesota Vikings, Biles, 27, met up with football safety Owens, 29, on the sidelines of Soldier Field where they shared a sweet smooch. “We’ll just have a chef come and cook,” Biles explained. “I think some of his teammates will come through and grab a plate, especially if they don’t have family in the area. It is a little bit more difficult, but it is kind of nice that we can just relax.”

Biles said the chef will “already be at the house cooking” when she and Owens — and some other hungry Bears — return from Detroit after a 12:30 pm ET kickoff in the Motor City.

“It will be prepared by the time we get home,” Biles said.

Biles and Owens are used to a live on the go. In addition to Owens’ busy NFL schedule, Biles recently completed the 32-date Gold Over America tour earlier this month.

The tour — which also featured other Team USA gymnasts like Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Brody Malone and Fred Richard — was the cherry on top of an incredibly successful summer for Biles, who took home four medals at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. Biles has yet to announce whether or not she will compete at the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.

Given their hectic schedules, Biles and Owens haven’t been able to move into the dream home they’ve been building in the gymnast’s hometown of Houston — but she said they’re getting close.

“At this point, we’ve waited so long for it to be built, we’ll just wait until after the [NFL] season to move in,” Biles shared. “Right now, they’re doing all of the backyard stuff. Jonathan wanted a half-basketball court, a barbeque pit, all of the good stuff. We did put an in-ground trampoline and a pool.”

Biles added, “We should be closing fairly soon. I go in two weeks to check on it again to see where we are. But we’re literally almost there.”

Elsewhere this holiday season, Biles had partnered with DICK’s Sporting Goods to take part in a Texas-wide store decorating competition, representing her hometown of Houston, against Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and University of Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers

The competition helps support local youth sports organizations through DICK’S Sports Matter philanthropy grants.

“Giving back to the community is a given,” Biles said of the initiative. “They’ve supported me throughout my entire career. At the end of the day, if I can do something to support them — to help uplift and to bring some holiday cheer, especially around some hard times like this — that’s what I’m going to do.

Biles added, “It’s just an absolutely amazing thing. I was like, ‘I definitely have to do this and get involved,’ especially with so many kids growing up in sports, helping to build their communities. I thought it was really important.”
