I struggle to shop for my mom, but not for the reason you might think. She isn’t picky and is always grateful, but she also just buys what she wants and needs when she wants and needs it. That means that when Christmas or her birthday rolls around, I have to get creative with what I’m wrapping.

I opted for the Chicago print as an ode to my midwestern upbringing and was immediately obsessed. I’m rather picky when it comes to loungewear and feel like things never fit quite right. However, the long-sleeve button-up top and matching pants fit me like a glove.
When my mom decided to visit me for the week of Mother’s Day, I knew that the PJs by PJ New York City set would make the the perfect surprise. I snagged the style for her. . . and a matching one for me too. The fabric is so soft to the touch and lightweight enough to comfortably sleep in, even in warmer climates. She lives in South Carolina and it’s nearly summer, so I knew this was a must. However, despite the breathable fabric, the pieces aren’t too thin and don’t feel cheap. In fact, it’s quite the opposite! The set feels so luxurious and has proven its quality wash after wash. The version that I already own has shown no signs of wear and tear and only feels softer out of the dryer.
