Enrique Iglesias and partner Anna Kournikova enjoyed a rare public date months after a photo of the tennis champ sitting in a wheelchair raised eyebrows about her wellbeing.
Iglesias, 49, and Kournikova, 43, were spotted in Miami together on a boat in photos published by Hola! magazine on Wednesday, March 26. In the snaps, Kournikova sported a black one-piece swimsuit while the Grammy winner went incognito with a baseball cap and sunglasses to shield his eyes.
Just two months earlier, Kournikova made her first public appearance in three years. Wearing a walking boot on one foot and sitting in a wheelchair, Kournikova took daughters Lucy, 7, and Mary, 4, shopping at the Bal Harbor Shops in Miami in photos obtained by The New York Post. (In addition to their daughters, Kournikova and Iglesias also share 7-year-old son Nicholas.)
The image sparked fan concern about Kournikova’s health. She has not publicly addressed the comments or the need for a wheelchair and walking boot.
Kournikova and Iglesias, long regarded as a private couple, have been together since 2001 when they met on the set of the singer’s “Escape” music video.
“When we met — although she came from the sports world — in a way, we kind of got each other,” Iglesias recalled to People in October 2023. “She knew what my world was like. I kind of knew what her world was like. So that understanding helped a lot.”

He added at the time, “We just started connecting little by little and got stronger and stronger and stronger.”
Now, Iglesias and Kournikova manage to keep their romance out of the limelight while raising their three children.
“When I pick them up from school and they’re having a bad day or one of them is crying or they’re fighting, we say, ‘Guys, what’s your favorite song?’ And then one breaks out into [my song] ‘I Like It,’ and then they all start singing it, and it’s so cute,” Iglesias added to People, noting that Lucy, Nicholas and Mary are all big fans of his music catalog. “I’m just enjoying now. I’m enjoying every single day.”
Iglesias has previously been candid about keeping their family life to themselves.
“It’s not that tough [to stay under the radar],” Iglesias said on Australia’s Today Tonight in November 2011. “You’ve got to have a sense of humor. [There have been rumors] I’ve been married about 28 times, have kids all over the world. … I think I’ve got twins in Australia, in Perth. Truly, you just laugh at it.”
