Sean “Diddy” Combs will remain in a New York City jail until the start of his trial next year.

Diddy, 55, has voluntarily dropped his latest appeal to be released on bail and will stay behind bars as he awaits his May 5, 2025 trial date, People reported on Friday, December 13, citing new court documents.

The disgraced music mogul was indicted by a grand jury in September shortly before he was arrested for sex trafficking, racketeering, conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. A 14-page indictment — which cited Diddy’s infamous parties, nicknamed “Freak-Offs,” as proof — claimed that Diddy “abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him” for decades.

Diddy has denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was remanded to Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center until his trial. A judge denied him bail on four separate appeals.

Most recently, federal judge Arun Subramanian ruled “that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community” should he grant Diddy’s bail request, according to documents obtained by Us Weekly in late November.

The day before Combs withdrew a new bail appeal, he was accused of sexual assault by three more alleged victims, Us confirmed on Thursday, December 12.

Per the documents obtained by Us, the unnamed victims alleged that Diddy drugged and sexually assaulted them. The earliest claim in the docs was in 2019.

Two of the accusers alleged that they went to hotels with the rapper, with one claiming they were raped at his Hamptons home. (One claimed to be raped by Diddy in his suite at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, the site where he was arrested in September.)

All three alleged victims claim they accepted alcoholic beverages from Diddy, alleging that they passed out and came to when he was sexually assaulting them.

One alleged victim claimed that Diddy told them going to the police would make them “look like an idiot,” adding that he would “never [be] able to substantiate his claims against Combs” because of his celebrity status.

The same accuser also alleged that the men from Diddy’s entourage called his cell phone to “threaten and intimidate” him into silence after the sexual assault. Per the lawsuit, the alleged victims did not come forward with their stories because of fear and humiliation.

Diddy’s attorneys slammed the accusations in a statement to Us. “These complaints are full of lies,” the statement read. “We will prove them false and seek sanctions against every unethical lawyer who filed fictional claims against him.”

A statement released to Us in October noted that “Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman.”
