Emily Ratajkowski is trying to make her new haircut work.
Ratajkowski, 33, took to social media on Friday, March 28, to give her followers an update on the “worst haircut” of her life, which included “bangs starting from the back of [her] head.”
Ratajkowski first attempted to blow her “mullet” out using the Dyson Airdrop, but quickly realized it wasn’t doing her any favors, making her fringe even shorter on her forehead. “No,” she said definitively, shaking her head.
Moving onto another method, the model reached for a small curling iron. “Apparently curling it hides bad haircuts,” she said, but was left with disappointment, her bangs were even shorter. Not giving up hope, Ratajkowski curled the rest of her strands.

“I knew it was a bad haircut when my friends were low-key concerned that I was stepping outside and wasn’t more upset. They were concerned for my mental health.” Ratajkowski also said that they called her look “brave” and a “thrill-seeker.”
After finishing up with the curling iron, Ratajkowski admitted that she wasn’t “mad” about the look because she’s always wanted curly hair, but still wasn’t thrilled. “No,” she repeated. “One word I’d like to never hear again is ‘shaggy.’ It’s just too short, man.”
As Ratajkowski tried to pin parts of her locks back, she shared that a woman at Kérastase, a brand that she’s also the face of, recommended the Strengthening Serum for Hair and Scalp from the Stronger Hair x Genesis collection, which helps with hair growth and breakage prevention.
Ratajkowski revealed the beauty fail via TikTok on Tuesday, March 25. At the time, she joked, “Is it giving member of the D.A.R.E.? Is it giving Karen O.? Is it giving Italian?”
While she had worked with the hairstylist before, the Gone Girl actress told her fans that the look was not what she asked for.
“The very nice man who did this to me, I think he was going British shaggy, but the main thing is that it’s not me,” she added.
