There are no new Marvel movies or TV shows on Disney+ in May, but there is an amazing and spectacular animated movie just around the corner. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is making its Disney+ premiere on May 1.
This sequel to the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse continues the story of Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) in thrilling fashion as one of the youngest Spider-Men in the multiverse discovers he has a very unfortunate date with destiny. Of course, he’d much rather have a date with Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld), a Spider-Woman from another universe. But she’s been keeping some secrets from him.
Star Wars fans will also have reasons to celebrate on Disney+ in May. On May 4, the streamer will premiere Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld, a new anthology series of animated shorts. There are also promotional specials for Disneyland Resort’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
