Hailee Steinfeld is all for a Pinterest perfect Valentine’s Day, but teased that’s not something she and fiancé Josh Allen will be focused on for the holiday.
“For me, Valentine’s Day will most likely be a low-key evening,” Steinfeld, 28, shared in the Friday, February 7, issue of her Beau Society newsletter.
The actress revealed that she and the Buffalo Bills quarterback, 28, will “pull out a recipe we haven’t tried, cook it together, and turn in early” for the occasion.
“As much as I want to go on Pinterest and turn my house into a Valentine’s Day party (every single year), it always ends up being something way more casual, like a red balloon tied on a barstool in the kitchen next to a plate of pink-frosted cookies,” Steinfeld wrote.
The Oscar nominee told her followers not to fret over having the picture-perfect evening. Instead, she said, “Let the night be what it is.” Steinfeld noted, “Comparison is the thief of joy, especially on Valentine’s Day. Turn off your phone and do what sounds fun to you.”
She explained if your ideal Valentine’s Day is simply sitting “on the couch watching Notting Hill with a bowl of popcorn and pink M&Ms on Friday night, [then] same.”
Steinfeld gave a little “side note” to her subscribers, telling them that she received a “sweet package of M&Ms with ‘Beau’ written on them” that she will share via Instagram.
Next week’s Valentine’s Day celebration marks the first one since Allen and Steinfeld got engaged in November 2024.
The NFL quarterback was first linked to Steinfeld in May 2023 when they were spotted together over Memorial Day weekend in New York City. That same month, the pair were seen on a sushi date with friends.
“Hailee and Josh have been together for about a month and it’s going really great,” an insider exclusively told Us Weekly in June 2023, sharing that when Steinfeld and Allen are together they “laugh a ton” and are “always smiling.”
The Pitch Perfect actress was spotted at her first Buffalo Bills game in October 2023 when the team played in London.
It wasn’t until July 2024 that Allen hard-launched their romance on Instagram when he shared a photo of Steinfeld with his family over the summer.
The pair seemed to take their relationship to the next level in October 2024 when they cohosted a Halloween party for the Bills players and their significant others. Allen and Steinfeld went as far as to wear matching circus-themed costumes for the occasion.
One month later, Allen proposed. Steinfeld proceeded to celebrate her first birthday as a fiancée in December 2024 with Allen by her side. “I love you,” Allen wrote via an Instagram Story tribute to Steinfeld at the time. “Here’s to forevermore.”
While the Bills’ 2024-2025 season came to an end with a loss in the AFC Championship in January, Allen secured a fan for life in Steinfeld.
“To say the least, I am so proud of that man and everything he’s done and everything that team has done together,” Steinfeld told E! News of her partner on January 28. “He is the hardest working person I know.”
The following month, Allen won the Most Valuable Player award at the 2025 NFL Honors and was quick to praise Steinfeld for her support. (The event also marked the couple’s first red carpet together.)
“And last but not least, my fiancée, Hailee,” Allen said during his Thursday, February 6, speech. “You’ve been my rock. You are my best friend [and] I would not be standing on this stage if it weren’t for you. So, with that being said, be good, do good, God bless and Go Bills.”
Steinfeld, for her part, gave Allen a shout-out in her newsletter on Friday after he took home the coveted award.
“The freaking MVP!! OK, this is a personal one, but I’m so damn proud of my fiancé!” she gushed.
