A “colossal dinner” in The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 finale may give the Reality Von Tease reveal a run for its money — at least according to Heather Gay.
“I think it’s gonna rank up there,” Heather, 50, told Us Weekly exclusively while promoting her Good Time Girl memoir. “I’ve heard from people that had a bird’s-eye view that it’s better than Bermuda and that Salt Lake City really brought it.”
Heather explained that she “felt it” during the dinner but can’t remember specifics.
“A unique thing about filming is that when you’re in it, it’s kind of a fog,” the Bravo star explained. “You remember the feelings and you remember what happens, but you don’t understand the impact of it. That was very much true with Bermuda and Reality Von Tease. We knew it was something major, but we didn’t know how it was gonna play out.”
RHOSLC season 4 aired earlier this year with the bombshell reveal that cast member Monica Garcia was somewhat behind the Reality Von Tease gossip account on Instagram. This year, Heather explained, the feeling was different. (RHOSLC season 5 premiered in September, and viewers have seen somewhat of a divide within the group as it’s continued to air.)
“I felt like it was like, ‘I love these women, and we have a lot to work on,’” she recalled. “That was the sentiment. “I think that those two worlds just come together in a colossal finale dinner. Stay tuned.”
While RHOSLC is still airing, Heather is focusing on the release of her second book, which was officially published on Tuesday, December 3. The book is full of anecdotes about Heather’s time in the Mormon church along with some behind-the-scenes moments from the Bravo show.
“I hope that [readers] laugh so hard and they get to see what their favorite Housewives are like both on and off camera,” Heather told Us about the book. “I hope that they just love feeling a part of the action — they feel like they were there in Bermuda, that they were there when I woke up with my black eye.”
She continued, “I hope that they realize that, really, it’s the connection with the fans that makes it so fun. Writing a book like this is just a chance to give back and let them be a part of the action.”
Good Time Girl is out now.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Bravo Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
