Mike Caussin has a new girlfriend — and his ex-wife Jana Kramer has met her.
“She had come into town because she doesn’t live here yet, and I was so nervous,” Kramer, 41, shared on the Monday, April 21, episode of her iHeartRadio “Whine Down” podcast. “I didn’t know how to work through my feelings of it because it’s such a weird thing.
The former One Tree Hill star was surprised to feel so many emotions when meeting her ex’s new partner — a part of her thought she had moved on after marrying Allan Russell and welcoming a son in November 2023. (Kramer and Caussin, 38, share Jolie, 9, and Jace, 6.)
“I am married with a new baby, and yet it’s still hard,” Kramer explained. “I was trying to understand what piece of it is hard because it’s just not a natural thing, to be going to go meet someone that is about to be around my kids a lot, and I haven’t had experience with that at all.”

Kramer said she requested the meeting take place without Caussin. As for what happened during the chat, the “I Got the Boy” singer isn’t going to share.
“Just out of respect and privacy, I’m not gonna explain all of it because at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter truly what I think,” she explained. “As long as she is good around the kids, that’s the most important thing.”
Kramer said she simply wanted to get to know the woman and be comfortable with her “knowing that she’s going to be around the kids and stuff.”
“I look forward to having more conversations with her in time,” she added. “What’s best for the kids is to have a female presence at Mike’s house that will keep a clean house, that will feed them helpful, nice, good foods. I welcome that.”
Caussin has yet to reveal the identity of his girlfriend publicly or on social media.
According to Kramer, the former NFL player expressed gratitude to his ex for taking the steps necessary to meet his new girlfriend.

“I am doing my part to make it be a good relationship,” Kramer said. “And it’s sweet. Mike sees it too. He texted me, ‘Thank you for the effort you’re putting in,’ and I just hope that is reciprocated.”
In April 2021, Kramer and Caussin split after nearly six years of marriage. Although “Whine Down” listeners have had a front-row seat into the ups and downs of their relationship, the pair have been able to build a healthy coparenting relationship.
“I’m incredibly grateful for where @kramergirl and I are at in our relationship,” Caussin wrote via Instagram in November 2023. “We have both found a way to flourish for ourselves and more importantly the kids. The fact that she has found someone like @superiorstriker only adds to my level of gratitude towards the entire situation. Jolie and Jace have the gift of three parents that love them and will do anything to protect them. As a father, what more could I ask for?”
