Former Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos and her fiancé, Chock Chapple, are ringing in the holidays by each other’s side — and with their loved ones.
“First Thanksgiving in Maryland with the Vassos crew and Chapple kids,” the pair wrote in a joint post via Instagram on Monday, December 2. “So much to be thankful for — family, laughter, and the start of new traditions.”
Alongside the message, the couple shared several photos from their festivities including a snap of the twosome posing with Chock’s two kids and one of Joan’s daughters. (Joan shared her four kids with late husband John, while Chock is dad to two children he shares with ex-wife Heather.)
In another image, Chock, 61, gestured toward over a dozen stockings each personalized with a cursive name for their respective family members. Joan, also 61, looked at her fiancé and laughed in the pic.
“Loved being with you guys this week!” Joan wrote in the comments section. “Felt so easy having the families together. Can’t wait for the next time!”
After celebrating Thanksgiving, the twosome showed off their festive Christmas display which featured a special Bachelor Nation nod. In an image shared via Instagram on Saturday, November 30, Chock and Joan showed a close-up of a circular ornament that read, “The Golden Bachelorette.” Underneath the show title featured a dress and a tux. “Engaged 2024,” was written below.
“Our first golden Christmas… ✨🎄,” they captioned the joint post. “Special thank you to my friend @kateslaytonlettering for this beautiful custom ornament! 🎁 #newtraditions #thegoldenbachelorette.”
Joan and Chock are spending their first holiday season together after getting engaged during The Golden Bachelorette season 1 finale, which aired in November. While gushing over their combined family, Chock exclusively recalled to Us Weekly the first thing his daughter said after he and Joan got engaged.
“‘Do I have a stepmom?’” he shared of his daughter’s question in a November Us cover story. “[She and Joan] got to meet at hometowns. They just got along great. They talk two or three times a week. And my daughter is involved with Joan’s daughters. We’re blending the families together.”
As the couple embarks on their new chapter, Joan and Chock exclusively told Us their plans for the future include finding an apartment in New York City.
“This first year, obviously, we have to kind of figure out life. Chock has a business in Kansas. I have kids and grandkids in Maryland. I’m not leaving Maryland, but he does have obligations in Kansas,” Joan told Us. “We know that we’re gonna spend time in Maryland and in Kansas, but then we have this really fun plan because both of us have always dreamed — and we’re finally at this weird stage in life for making this dream come true — that we live in a big city, and, specifically, we’ve always wanted to live in New York. So Chock surprised me and said, ‘I want us to go find a place.’”
