Kaia Gerber, often seen channeling her supermodel mother Cindy Crawford‘s iconic ’90s style by borrowing vintage pieces, put a fresh spin on a classic for a recent mother-daughter outing in New York City.
At the Thursday, April 3, opening of George Clooney’s Broadway debut in Good Night and Good Luck, Kaia, 23, was joined by Crawford, 59, and father Rande Gerber. She opted for a sleek little black dress from Givenchy, designed by the esteemed Sarah Burton.
The ankle-length number, with a simple square neckline and delicate black straps, echoed the classic fashion codes that defined Crawford’s reign on the runway in the ’90s. Kaia kept her accessories understated, choosing pointed-toe heels and a gold Omega watch, allowing the dress’s elegance to take center stage.
Crawford mirrored her daughter’s sophisticated choice, also donning an LBD, although hers featured more contemporary touches like a daring side slit and a single-shoulder cutout. Meanwhile, Rande, 62, also complemented the stylish duo in a traditional black suit and tie.
