Kaity Biggar is explaining the reason why fiancé Zach Shallcross wasn’t by her side at Coachella.
“Why didn’t Zach join you at Coachella?” a user wrote in an Instagram Story Q&A held Tuesday, April 15, to which Biggar, 30, replied, “This man doesn’t give two s***s about that stuff, which I kinda love.”
Alongside the message, Biggar shared a video of Shallcross, 28, practicing his golf swing in front of a screen. She set the upload to Marky Mark and The Funky Bunch’s “Good Vibrations.”
“He’s all about his boys, sports, family and beers,” Biggar added. “And ofc me ;).”
Biggar and Shallcross began dating on The Bachelor season 27, which aired in 2023. Shallcross ultimately popped the question to Biggar in the season finale, revealing during the live After the Final Rose episode that they planned to move to Texas and walk down the aisle in 2025.
The next year, Shallcross proposed to Biggar again while celebrating their second anniversary on a boat. “How lucky am I to get to say ‘yes’ to you twice! 💍🤍,” Biggar wrote via Instagram in November 2024.
In January, Shallcross explained that the couple backed out of their wedding contract after realizing they would have to go “a lot” over their budget for an ideal venue.
“We pondered on it for a week and we’re like, ‘[It] does not feel good to just go so into this venue when we’ve already established what our priorities are,’ which is buying a house and not a down payment for one day,” Shallcross said on an episode of the “Almost Famous” podcast at the time. “So we backed out of the contract. Not saying we’re done with wedding planning. We’ve actually gone further in other areas, but we just couldn’t do that. I don’t know, like it’s so crazy nowadays.”
Despite the hurdle, Shallcross shared that the pair still have plans to exchange vows soon. “We’re planning to get eloped very soon, like very soon, and then we’ll figure out [the] celebration and all that, like, the glitz and the glamour,” he noted. “It’s not a matter of when, it’s like the other stuff and, like, wanting to have all the family from all over come for it.”
In March, Biggar revealed that she and Shallcross are one step closer to walking down the aisle. She captioned an Instagram post at the time,“OFFICALLY [sic] have the date we are getting married!! 💍 📅 🤍.”
