Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet did not make their red carpet debut at the 2025 Met Gala.
Jenner, 27, posed alongside Maximilian Davis, the creative director of Ferragamo, when arriving at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 5. The reality star wore a black-and-gray corset dress with a sheer bodice, looking perfect while channeling the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme this year. The dress code was “Tailored for You,” and, as expected, she did not miss the mark.
Monday’s Met Gala marked the eighth time Jenner has attended the famously exclusive event. Her debut came in 2016, and she has made an appearance at the fashion industry’s most coveted gathering ever since.
Some fans expected Jenner to walk the carpet alongside Chalamet, 29, who has attended the Met Gala twice in the past. Jenner and Chalamet have been dating since 2023, and while they’ve attended several Hollywood events together, they usually arrive separately. Two of Jenner’s previous Met Gala appearances were alongside a significant other. She walked the event’s red carpet alongside ex-boyfriend Travis Scott in 2018 and 2019. (Jenner and Scott — who were together from 2017 to early 2023 — share two kids: Stormi, 7, and Aire, 3.)
Jenner previously admitted to feeling nervous prior to walking up the iconic Met Gala steps last year during an episode of The Kardashians, which aired via Hulu more than six months later.

“I was shaking. I don’t know why this year hit me so hard,” she said in her confessional with sister Kendall Jenner. “Remember, I called you — and Kendall was so calm. You made me feel better. You were just like [here are] some words of wisdom, ‘This is supposed to be fun and let’s just have a good time.’ And I was like, ‘OK. She’s calm, I’m calm.’”
The Kylie Cosmetics founder kept her look on the low-key side in 2024, wearing a custom strapless “rose water” Oscar de la Renta gown. Last year’s Met Gala theme was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” with a “garden of time” dress code. Kylie opted to dress like a garden statue.
While Kylie has attended several iterations of the Met Gala in the past, one look stands out to her the most.
“One of the most iconic memories and looks is my purple Versace,” she told the Wall Street Journal in 2023, referring to her look at the 2019 event. “I see a lot of my fans always love to repost that look and I think it’s just an iconic dress. I don’t normally wear purple so I think it’s, like, the one big purple moment I had.”
