Meghan Markle showed a rare glimpse of her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as they baked cookies for Drew Barrymore.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared a video of the kids making thumbprint cookies with her friend, Kelly McKee Zajfen, and Meghan’s wedding dress designer, Clare Waight Keller, via Instagram on Thursday, March 6.
“When making thumbprint cookies at home becomes a family affair! Thanks @_heartmom_ & @clarewaightkeller for the love and extra set of hands!” Meghan captioned the video.
Zajfen shared a fan account’s clip of Meghan speaking about the cookies during her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, which aired on Thursday.
“When I realized we were going to do this, I said, you know, ‘How many people are we making cookies for?’ And they said the count of the audience, [and] I want the crew to be able to have some,” Meghan said in the clip.
“So, a friend of mine, she and her daughter had just finished a camping trip. I said, ‘Can you come by?’ And my friend Clare Waight Keller, who designed my wedding dress, she would come in from the U.K. to have lunch. I said, ‘Clare, can I put you to work too?” she added. “So, we all sat around, we made these cookies for you guys to enjoy and I thought it’d be fun.”
Meghan’s interview with Barrymore came after the premiere of her new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, on Tuesday, March 4, which shows the duchess cooking, crafting, and hosting friends.
Zajfen appeared in one of the episodes alongside Meghan’s former Suits costar Abigail Spencer.
“It’s here!!! Feeling so grateful to have been a part of ‘With Love, Megan’ and even more grateful to witness my best friend shine so brightly. Meghan, you are pure magic and so full of love in everything you do — hosting, nurturing, creating joy. It all pours out of you so effortlessly, so beautifully, and not just on the show but every single day,” Zajfen wrote in an Instagram post after the premiere.
“This was truly one of the most memorable and joyful experiences. The whole day was beyond incredible and SO fun!!!! The team, the production, the energy, the love — you truly are the most amazing hostess. It was felt by all,” she added. “Thank you for including me in your magic.”
Meghan’s children don’t make an appearance in the show, however, the former actress references them throughout. The royal also gushed about how their accents are changing to sound like Prince Harry’s during the interview with Barrymore.
“Oh, some of the words that they still say with a British accent, so they’ll say z-e-b-r-a and what else do they say? They have these little moments where it comes out and because they have very American accents, but they say words that are just like him and I think it’s adorable,” Meghan said.
“Zebra is a good one,” she added.
