Taylor Ann Green has already found a new match for Craig Conover after his split from Paige DeSorbo: Bachelor Nation’s Rachael Kirkconnell.
Green, 30, confessed that she “wasn’t all that surprised” by Conover, 35, and DeSorbo’s recent breakup, telling Decider on Friday, January 31, what she really thinks of the exes.
“I do find them to be a very good match, and I wish them both the best, but I think that Craig just has always wanted more,” Green said of her Southern Charm costar.
The reality star noted that although DeSorbo, 32, and Conover parted ways at the end of November 2024 she thinks he should move on with The Bachelor’s Kirkconnell, 28.
After hearing someone suggest that Conover would be a good match with Matt James’ ex, Green said she completely agreed.
“I immediately perked up. I was like, ‘Now that I could see happening,’” Green said of Conover and Kirkconnell’s possible connection. “She is adorable. She seems like she’s ready to settle down.”
The Bravo star teased, “She probably would look at Craig’s house and be like, ‘Take me in. Sweep me off my feet. I will say yes tomorrow.’”
Fans followed James, 33, and Kirkconnell’s love story on season 25 of The Bachelor. The pair ended the season, which aired in early 2021, as a couple but broke up in February of that year.
The Bachelor Nation couple rekindled their romance in April 2021 and were talking about a possible engagement in October 2024. However, James announced on January 16 that the pair had parted ways.
Kirkconnell revealed during the January 28 episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that James ultimately broke up with her because he didn’t see them getting married.
“It was just one of those things where he, I think, just had this realization that ‘I should want to propose to you by this time,’” she said of her ex. “‘Like, at this point in our relationship, I should be wanting those things and I should be ready for that. But I’m not still, I still don’t feel like we’re ready or I don’t feel like I’m ready. I don’t know if I ever see myself proposing to you. I can’t actually see myself married to you.’”
Conover, meanwhile, denied breakup rumors about him and DeSorbo in early December 2024 before the Summer House star announced on December 30 that they had split.
DeSorbo clarified their breakup timeline earlier this month, saying she ended the romance over Thanksgiving weekend in November 2024. (The pair started dating in 2021 after getting close during season 1 of Winter House.)
DeSorbo also shut down infidelity rumors, saying on the Monday, February 3, episode of the “Giggly Squad” podcast that she “did not cheat” on Conover. She also denied that she’s moved on with “some new guy” or that she has a new boyfriend after rumors surfaced in early January that she was dating again.
A source exclusively told Us Weekly in December 2024 that Conover, for his part, was “ready for the next steps and had plans to propose to Paige” prior to their split.
The insider noted that DeSorbo living in New York City while Conover was settled in Charleston added to the end of their romance. “Paige does not want to move to Charleston, and logistically it was never going to work out long term,” the source said.
Green, meanwhile, said that she thinks both Conover and DeSorbo will bounce back after their split.
“He’ll be fine. I think that Paige really did kinda groom him to be the ‘it’ guy,” Green told Decider, claiming, “Whoever he decides to date next is going to be the person he’s going to marry.”
She added that DeSorbo is a “strong woman” who Conover “allowed” to be herself throughout their three-year romance.
“I think a strong woman also kind of wants someone to tell her ‘no’ sometimes. So I think she’s looking for someone who’s going to be like, ‘I let you be you. But there’s times where I’m not going to allow you to do like …’” Green shared. “I think she needs a man that’s going to really give it to her. And Craig’s just too sweet. I’m like, ‘You’re just too sweet. You’re a Southern guy.’”
