Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s Daughter Bella Shares Rare Selfie

Bella Kidman Cruise showed off some of her art in a rare selfie.

Bella, 31, shared the snap via Instagram Story on Friday, December 6, which showed her posing in front of an abstract work of art which was displayed in St. Petersburg, Florida’s Imagine Museum. The artist was dressed simply in a white tank top and wore her hair down as she smiled for the camera.

“This lil’ guy made it to @imaginemuseum,” Bella captioned her photo. She had previously shared the piece via Instagram in July where she used just one caterpillar emoji as a caption.

Bella is the oldest child of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, who were married from 1990 to 2001. The exes adopted Bella in 1992 and expanded their family again in 1995 when they adopted her younger brother Connor, 29.

Both siblings have continued to keep a low profile since their parents divorced in 2001. Last month, Connor shared a rare selfie with his dad via Instagram as the pair enjoyed a post-Thanksgiving golf outing together.

“I’m very private about [them],” Kidman told Australia’s Who magazine in November 2018 of her adult children. “I have to protect those relationships. I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is. They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and, as a mother, it’s my job to love them.”

She added at the time, “I am an example of that tolerance and that’s what I believe — that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I’m open here. I think that’s so important because if that is taken away from a child, to sever that in any child, in any relationship, in any family — I believe it’s wrong. So that’s our job as a parent, to always offer unconditional love.”

After her divorce from Cruise, Kidman moved on with Keith Urban, whom she married in 2006, and the pair welcomed daughters Sunday and Faith in 2008 and 2010, respectively.

Last month, Kidman set the record straight on whether a much-memed image of her from 2001 was about her divorce from the Mission: Impossible actor. In the photo, Kidman walked down the street in a pink shirt with her arms stretched wide and mouth hanging open as if in relief. It had long been believed that the joyous photo was taken right after she finalized her divorce.

“That’s not true,” she told GQ with a laugh in a November interview. “That was not me; that was from a film, that wasn’t real life. I know that image!”

Cruise, for his part, married actress Katie Holmes in 2006, with whom he welcomed a daughter that same year. Cruise and Holmes divorced in 2012.
