Tori Spelling crossed paths with a lot of A-listers at her late father Aaron Spelling’s infamous parties over the years, but her encounter with Judge Judy Sheindlin was more memorable than most.
Tori, 51, explained during the Tuesday, January 28 episode of her “Misspelling” podcast that, at the time, her father’s company was “linked” to the network Judge Judy was on.
“I was just so shocked because everyone’s like, ‘Judge Judy, Judge Judy.’ And I was like, ‘What?’ I put down my cocktail for a second. I’m like, let me pay attention,” Tori recalled, nothing that Judy, 82, got up on stage. “I looked to the stage and I was like, ‘Oh my God, what a hot piece of ass.’ She was up there in this slinky little very bodycon dress.”
Tori continued, “She was hot AF. Like gorgeous, sexy and talking and was funny. She’s definitely very firm, but she was cool, super cool. She was dancing, really good dancer, super sexy.”
At one point, Tori even pitched Judy for Dancing With the Stars while basking in the memory.
“Anyway, I don’t know if she had a few cocktails, but to the young brain, I was like, ‘Oh my God, she’s letting loose,’” Tori continued. “I was super impressed. She’s got mad moves.”
Tori also claimed that actor Ted McGinley would “always” hit on her during these parties.
“He was on Love Boat, and then he was on Married with Children,” she said. “Revenge of the Nerds, right. He was the hot guy. Of course, that’s what I knew him from.”
Thinking deeper into it, Tori wondered if her dad had asked McGinley, 66, and a “couple” of other stars to court her over the years.
“The first time was at this Santa Barbara charity fundraiser or something. I went with my parents. I remember we were all in western gear or something,” Tori said. “I think I was 18, and my dad definitely sat him with me, like, next to me at my table. And I feel like he asked me to dance.”
She added, “I don’t know. … Or maybe that’s the story I told myself, like why would this hunk-a-rama — why would he ever flirt with a girl like me? So, my dad must have set this up. But who knows?”
Looking back on it, Tori — who is currently single after her split from husband Dean McDermott — should have been more confident about it.
“I was funny. I was smart. I was cute. Why not me?” she said. “I feel like my dad was like, ‘Hey pal, you wanna keep working? Date my daughter.’ No, I’m just kidding. I’m just messing around.”
