West Wilson Says He ‘Squashed’ Idea of Media War With Lindsay Hubbard

West Wilson has had enough of the back-and-forth with Summer House costar Lindsay Hubbard.

After the two of them traded blows in the media over a comment Wilson, 30, made about Hubbard, 38, potentially returning to Summer House, Wilson said the two hashed things out over the phone.

Now Wilson, who joined the show in season 8, says the whole thing was blown out of proportion.

“That got clickbaited real bad,” he said during a Wednesday, March 12 appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “I brought up how much I loved Lindsay this summer and was asked if she would come back to the house and I said, ‘No way unless you get a babysitter.’ It got headlined real bad and I’ve written headlines before, what you’re supposed to do is keep it within the same narrative obviously, and they did a full 180.”

He added, “I called Lindsay, we squashed it.”

“I told him, I was like, ‘Look, here’s the problem that I have with this statement — not that I brought you onto this show and gave you a job, that’s not even the problem that I’m having here, but you should remind yourself of that — the problem I’m having is, I just became a mother and this is my job and I need to be a provider for my daughter,” she said.

“You going around being like, ‘There’s no way [she’s returning],’ is not really helpful, and is actually really hurtful,” she added. “I thought we were friends and I’m trying to be financially independent and provide for my daughter. You saying, ‘There’s no way,’ is really f—ed up.’”

Summer House airs on Bravo Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
